Finding a new OB/GYN

Time to find a new OB/GYN! There's just something that I don't like about my baby's doctor, oh wait, it's because I called to find out the measurements from last weeks appointment and he told me to ask during the visit not after. Wait a second, so does that mean if I have a question, I have to wait 4 weeks until my next apt to ask and get answers. I don't think so. Even Roger told me, there's something I don't like about your doctor!!! I called around and found a doctor, and funny thing, he is in the same building as the one I see now, but he delivers at St. Jude!!!!! The doctor I have now only delivers at St. Joseph's which is about 25 mins from me and Anaheim Regional which is about the same....St. Jude is where I had both my kids, we go there for anything and everything, we trust that place have never had any problems, and it's only about 7-10 mins away depending on what time we are going there.

I am meeting the new OBGYN today...will let you know how it goes!

Shopping

Yesterday Roger had to go to work and didn't get home 'til 2:30p. Madison and I cleaned the living room and she dusted while I vacuumed! I love the fact that she wants to help me out, makes my life a whole lot easier. She even helps wash the dishes, like plastic cups and silverware! :)

After showers and figuring out what we were going to have for dinner, Madison said she wanted to eat at Red Robin! Yummy! Glad she likes that place so much! After having dinner we decided to go to Babies R Us and register. When we got there Roger picked up a book of names...OMG! the names he was asking me turned my face green, like Agnus, Crispen, Axel and Cash...no thanks! I'd like an unique name, but not Agnus. We aren't ruling out the baby taking on the family name, he'd be Roger Raymond Shafer III, but I'd like to think that we are more creative then that to settle on something so easy!

When we were done scanning items, we took off for the clothing section of the store, Roger found 2 little outfits...OMG, so cute, and he asked Madison which ones she liked. We are trying our hardest for her to be every part of our choices. She picked out the crib decor, it's Jungle Babies. Really cute and the colors are perfect for the crib and our bedroom furniture. Yes the baby will be in our room til he's probably about a year old. Madison will be going to school, and she needs all the sleep she can get.

I can't wait to have my 2 best friends help me create a wonderful baby shower!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

One more day!

Here it is Wednesday and I am so anxious to find out what we are having...will it be a boy or a girl?? My mom, mother in law, my sister in laws Katie and Beky, and a really good friend of mine all seem to think that am going to have a boy! I keep having dreams about us having a boy, and maybe it's because of everyone telling me I am....although, when I was pregnant with Madison I had dreams that I was having a girl and that came out true.

Madison won't be going to school tomorrow. She really wants to be there when we find out. I gave her the option. Roger got the day off, so maybe afterwards we can spend some time at Madison's favorite place~Disneyland!

I have been feeling tired a lot lately and not being able to motivate myself to doing anything. It really sucks...I need at least some energy to clean a room a day and start getting this place baby ready. It's funny...I gave away everything...the crib is on loan, the swing, I threw away the high chair (and really there's no room for it), all my maternity clothes either went to goodwill or to a friend of mine. We never thought or talked about having another baby. Then on New Year's Day, the test showed "YES"...I was floored.

I will post when I find out what the sex of our baby is, until then you all have to wait just like my family and I do!

A little about my family

My husband, Roger, and I met while he was at work 12 years ago and have been together ever since. I have a son, Nate, who is from a previous marriage, he's 15 years old and a Sophomore in high school. Then there's Madison who is soon to be turning 5 years old and in the fall will be going to Kindergarten~man time sure does fly fast when you have kids!

I am just about 5 months prego and am finally looking like I am prego and not fat. We find out on Thursday April 15th if we are having a boy or a girl. Naturally, Roger is hoping for a boy, but I don't care as long as I deliver a healthy baby with 10 fingers, 10 toes and a cute little button nose. I'm due Sept 3, 2010~Labor Day weekend...hahaha perfect name for when I am due...
